Biography
Joanna Bator (born February 2, 1968) is a Polish writer, journalist, and columnist. She earned her PhD in philosophy from the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Her dissertation focused on the philosophical aspects of feminist theory and debates with psychoanalysis and postmodernism. Since 2011, Joanna Bator has devoted herself entirely to writing. Her first novels, "Sand Mountain" and "Cloudy," brought her success in Poland and abroad. In 2012, she published the novel "Ciemno, Prawie noc," for which she received the Nike Literary Award the following year.
